Wow!  Has this been a crazy week of weather, or what??  Snow even in Florida!  (It's not fair... it never snowed in Florida when I was there!!)

Today, we are flashing back to some previous releases at McMahon Five Designs.

For this card, I used Bella & Skipper Outline

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut it out with Spellbinders Labels 15.  My DP is actually from a We R Memory Keepers 6x6 journal pack.   It is all inked with TH "peeled paint." The flowers are Prima and I added tiny adhesive pearls to the center.

Paper Pretties PWC295 - texture (ribbon and mosaic "tiles")
Bearly Mine #118 - Colour inspiration (the blue shutters inspired me!)

It's a girly Tuesday! TMS #234

I've got a girly card for you today.  This one would be loved by my oldest daughter!!  My middle daughter would sort of like it (because she likes nail polish), and then my youngest daughter (who LOVES all my cards usually) would probably think it just "okay"!  That reaction pretty much tells you their level of "girly"-ness or lack thereof!!

It is Tuesday, and we've got a great sketch and prize for you this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!!   Here is my girly card...

Cookie Mouse is sooo cute!!  This was made using Girly Girl Cookie Clear Stamp Set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps which is our sponsor this week.  I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The DP is DCWV Mariposa.  The frame is cut with Spellbinders Postage Stamp, and I added some ribbon and brads from my stash.

Play along with our fun sketch and you could win a Sweet 'n Sassy prize!!!

This week, Jenee picked her favorite sketch from 2013 (TMS #225 from Nov 19th) for us to play with. This is a gorgeous sketch!!!  Though I missed the charm element again!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the creations from the rest of our DT...

I've got a card made with a new release over at McMahon Five Designs.    This is a really cute set from Imagine That! digis by Kris.... Jenn & Friends

I combined the circular sentiment with the colored image and cut it with my Nesties Circles and Lacy Circles.   The DP is fancy pants "love story."   Click HERE to go find "Jenn & Friends."

I Miss You cards for OWH

In yesterday's TMS post, I told you that I loved the sketch we're using this week.  I really do!!  I can't stop using it!!  Here it is again for some cards that are going to Operation Write Home.

For these cards, I used Rose Bloom from Doodle Pantry.  This set (previously sold at Clearly Digital)  was part of January's new release.  Be sure to check this set out... it is beautiful!!!

This DP was fancy pants "it's the little things" and I added a twine bow.

This DP is Prima "Madeline."  I loved this pack, but I'm getting down to those last
few sheets that I don't really care for! LOL  Am I the only one??

This DP has been in my stash FOREVER!  It is call Marcella by Kay.
I got it from some discount place while we were on vacation years ago then I kind of forgot it!

Here is a preview of Rose Bloom... It's gorgeous!!!

Here's the sketch.  There's still lots of time to use it and play along with Tuesday Morning Sketches #233!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!!!

Snowboarding!!!! TMS #233

Happy Tuesday to you!!  It is time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I'm excited this week for  a couple of reasons!  We are playing with my favorite sketch from 2013, plus we are sponsored by Doodle Pantry!!   Being on the DP DT, I get to play with Laurie's new releases every  month, so for this challenge, I went looking for one that I had not used before and found this CUTE Snowboarding Birdie!!  Isn't he cool??

I used the outline and colored him with my Spectrum Noir markers, cut him out with Nesties Petite Ovals, and embossed the MME "Bohemian" DP with CB Swiss Dots and Darice Polka Dots.  I wound some baker's twine around several times and tied it off with a button from my stash.

Here is the sketch we're using again this week that is from May 29/13...  I love this sketch!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the creations from the rest of our DT...

Flashback Friday at M5D and a SALE!!

Happy Friday to you!!  We've got some previously released sets we are revisiting at McMahon Five Designs!  Many of them are on sale... including the set I used! :)

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching but this kind of card can (and should) be sent ALL year long!

My BG digi paper, the image, and sentiment all came from Simply Love from McMahon Five Designs.  I printed the image twice, cut the ribbon, and popped it up.  A bit of burlap ribbon, a scrap of brown ribbon, and a few rain dots finished it off.

Thanks for topping by and be sure to check out the M5D BLOG to see all the DT's creations!!
Have a great day!!

Sympathy - TMS #232

Today at Tuesday Morning Sketches, we have another blast from the past.  This week, Bonnie chose the sketch.

This is the second challenge of the month, so it is our Judged Challenge with a Twist!!  :)  These are always fun! Follow the sketch, add the twist, and you can win!  We also will pick a Top 5!  This week's twist is -- TONE ON TONE (MONOCHROMATIC).

I rarely do monochromatic cards, so this prompt was great for me.  I love the look just never seem to do it.   Of course, I had to emboss my panels! :)   I used CB Swiss Dots and Perfect Paisley folders and inked the edges with Colorbox Cat's Eye "Dune."   I love this sentiment and use it often, but unfortunately, I have no idea where I got it. :/

Here's the sketch Bonnie chose.. #184 from Feb. 5/13

This week our sponsor is our very own awesome and wonderful Jessi!!!  She is sponsoring and the winner will receive several of her crocheted mats.  They are BEAUTIFUL!!!  You will love to use them on your creations, I guarantee!!  You could win 12 mats - 4 red, 4 pink, and 4 white...

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the creations from the rest of our DT...

Triple stamped thank you

My card tonight is made with a technique that I've never done before... triple time stamping.  And I must confess, the final project is not my first attempt.  I've been working on this for a few days, and there are a couple of tries that sadly ended up in the trash can. :/   But I persevered and have something to show you.  :)

I cut my Neenah Classic Crest cardstock in the shapes I wanted, then stamped the flower which is from Stampabilities and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiment is Paper Trey Ink.   I added a few buttons to the flowers and here it is!

Challenges...
Clear It Out - thank you + buttons *these are from the first pkg of buttons I ever bought!!!  How's that for using my stash??? :)
Technique Time Tuesday - triple time stamping
Paper Pretties PWC292 - buttons
Little Scrap Pieces - Fun Friday Linky Party
Wags n Whiskers #120 - anything goes
DL ART January Linky Party - anything goes
Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 - sketch

Happy Friday with a New Release at M5D!!

Happy Friday to you!!  I hope you were able to stay warm this week!!   The only good thing about cold weather is snow! :)  How weird is this???  I LOVE snow, but I do not like to be cold! LOL

Today, we have some new releases for you at McMahon Five Designs!  Sue gave the DT a nice long break over the holidays, but we are back and ready to go with these wonderful designs!

I've got 2 projects for you today.  The first is a card that could be a Valentine card or just a card to show love...

My BG paper is Prima "Believe" that I embossed with Cuttlebug "Love Language" EF.  I used Spellbinders Postage Stamp and Doodle Parts.  The fence is a Fiskars border punch.  ($4.99 at Tuesday Morning!!)  My image is from Snowbaby Love Color.  I flipped the direction of it and added a bunch of hearts.  The sentiment is from Snowbaby Love Sentiments.  Both are Daydream Designs digis.  (I promise the sentiment is actually readable in real life!)  Here are the sets...

My second project is from Snowbaby Love Sentiments.  I used the JPG of 1 Cor 13, pixel traced it in Make-the-Cut, cut it in vinyl, and placed it on a 9x12 ceramic tile.  This was so fun to do!!  I love making tiles with vinyl!!!

I'm submitting my tile to Word Art Wednesday Challenge #114 - anything goes (word art or encouraging sentiment)

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  Please visit the M5D BLOG to see all the new releases and the DT's creations.

St Bernard get well

Heat wave!!  It's up to 9F already today!  :)

When I was just a little girl, I watched a tv series called "George!" that featured a St. Bernard.  Are any of you old enough to remember that, too??  :)  (I think it may have only been in Canada, Germany, and Switzerland?)  That has been in the back of my mind since I first saw this fun Doodle Pantry set... St. Bernard Buddy.  I used the birthday dog on my new release card but I love this 'nurse' puppy and always need get well cards, so made this one...

She even looks like she's wagging her tail!!   I used a colored image and cut it and the sentiment with my Nesties.  My DP is Prima "Believe."  I added a ribbon scrap and a few Prima flowers and pearls.

Challenges...
Shopping Our Stash #133 - use something new (first use of both DP and flowers)
Word Art Wednesday #114 - free word art or any uplifting/encouraging sentiment
Terrific Tuesday - "warm fuzzies" - I just spent a few days in the hospital, and believe me when I say that EVERY get well wish I received made me feel warm and fuzzy!!

Hoppy Birthday! -TMS #231

Happy Tuesday to you!!  It's time for our Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge!!   Welcome to our first challenge of 2014!

For the next few weeks at TMS, we are revisiting the DT's favorite sketches from the past year.  Let me tell you, it's hard to pick just one!!  When I first started card making, I found it difficult to follow a sketch.  Now, I love them!!

My paper is DCWV All About Boys.  I distressed and inked the edges.

Angela chose this week's sketch.  It was from challenge #190 that we played on March 19/13.

Our sponsor this week is Deedee's Digis now available through Diane's Daydream Designs

My image and sentiment are from Oh, Hoppy Day.  Isn't this a fun set??

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the creations from the rest of our DT...

"Miss you" card + my "resolution"

In a post that I read last week, the blogger said she was going to use scraps all month.  I could probably do that for a year (or 2 or 5!!) and am going to try to go through my scraps and coordinate them and begin to use some of them.  I also have a bunch of digital images printed and waiting to be used.   I am going to TRY to use up scraps plus the images already printed.

That's how this card came to be.  I printed this image a few weeks ago.  Finally colored it last night and made the card this evening.   *I must confess that I did not use scraps!  Oops!!  Already broke my resolution!!  LOL

My image is A Scottish Castle from Delicious Doodles.   I LOVE Delicious Doodle scenes!!  I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiment is TPC Studios cut with Spellbinders Labels Four.  My DP is 7 Gypsies "Venice."  The flowers are Flora Doodles.

Challenges...
Delicious Doodles Challenge #69 - layer up
Mojo Monday 327 - sketch
Digi Sketch Challenge - sketch and/or "say it with flowers"

Thanks for stopping by and try to stay warm this week!!  Our temp is diving about 40 degrees by tomorrow.  Brrr!!

I'm "snow" happy!!

Happy Friday to you!!  I'm happy today because we finally got SNOW!!!!!!  Some of you have been getting blasted over and over and are groaning at my comment, but I am so happy today because I just love snow!!!!!!!

I have a card for you today that I just made for fun and for some challenges.  It's been awhile since I made a card that I did not "need" to make, so I enjoyed this.   I went searching and found some challenges and inspiration and made a card to send to a friend.  (Then I have to get working on a list of several cards that I do need to make!)

The DP is from DCWV Mariposa mat stack just trimmed to fit the card.  (I love it when the paper does all the work!!)  The sentiment is the bonus freebie from Word Art Wednesday.   I cut it with my Spellbinders Labels Four.  I added some ribbon, twine, a button, and adhesive black pearls.

Challenges...
Word Art Wednesday #113 - anything goes w/ word art or uplifting sentiment
Twist of Faith #70 - anything goes w/ Scripture or uplifting sentiment
Digi Sketch Challenge - sketch and/or theme-ribbons and pearls (I used the theme)
Pile It On #48 - things with "P" -mine is pearls and "papillon" -butterfly in French! :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Let's celebrate the New Year with a New Release from Doodle Pantry!!!

Best Wishes to you for a Blessed 2014!!!

A new day, a new month, a new year, and a new release from Doodle Pantry!! :)  And I am going to try to be a better blog visitor this year!!  (I do have an excuse for the last couple of weeks!  Read on...)

Laurie had the new sets ready for the DT early in Dec, but we were having printer issues so I planned my card and got everything ready to print and assumed I'd have plenty of time to craft right after Christmas.  Have you ever heard the Bible verse, "Boast not thyself of tomorrow for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth"?   I should have remembered that!  I ended up in the ER for most of Christmas Day, then was admitted and stayed a few in the hospital with a nasty infection.  (I'm sooooo thankful it was not appendicitis as it originally appeared!!!)   I'm still gaining my strength back, but I thought it was really neat that when I planned my card, I used the digi papers and planned to print all my layers except for the bottom layer of cardstock and the extra dog which I fussy cut, so this was a very quick and easy card to put together!  I never do this!  I love all the dimension that "real" layers give, so I have no idea why I planned to print them for this card.  Yes, I do... the Lord knew what was going to happen and He had me all prepared! :)

The extra dog was adhered with glue dots so it just gives a bit more dimension to the image.

I used St Bernard Buddy.  Aren't these doggies adorable???  I used the patterned and solid digi papers and the colored birthday dog.

At Doodle Pantry, you always get great deals and here are this month's bonuses...
